Who can use Japan Rail Pass?

1. You are a foreign tourist visiting Japan from overseas under the entry status of “Temporary Visitor”.
2. You are a Japanese passport holder and are qualified to live permanently in a foreign country.
   Please note that you must have the following proof of evidences which support our permanent residency status.
   • Permanent Resident Pass (Original)
   • Evidence proofing your current stay in the foreign country other than Japan
     You are to bring along the above evidences during your trip to Japan.
3. You hold a Japanese passport and are married to a non-Japanese residing in a foreign country.
   Please note that you must have the following proof of evidences which support our permanent residency status.
   • Evidence proofing your current stay in the foreign country other than Japan
   • Evidence proofing your marriage
   • Evidence proofing your spouse’s residence status
     You are to bring along the above evidences during your trip to Japan.
4. For child with dual nationality, the child MUST produce his/her passport other than a Japanese passport at the point of departure and arrival at Japan International Airport. There must be a temporary visa issued by the immigration counter which is required for exchanging the Exchange Order for the actual JR Pass.
